The popularity of personalizing the wedding ceremony has increased dramatically. By putting personal touches into your wedding ceremony, you can ensure that your personalities are fully incorporated into your wedding day.

Your personal feelings can be included into your wedding day. Adding your own views, and thoughts, can provide a touching intimacy to your ceremony.
If you like, make a list of what you would like to say to your family and friends about your relationship, future life together, hopes, dreams, feelings for each other, views on commitment and trust, or simply read a poem.
You may find that your own words can be more meaningful for you than traditional vows.

You may keep elements of the traditional wedding ceremony, or to completely change the ceremony. Most couples still choose to follow a standard order of service:

• The Greeting
• The Declaration of Intentions (Wedding Vows)
• The Exchange of rings
• The Pronouncement

The service usually begins with the Officiant introducing the couple to the guests, and explaining that they are here to witness your wedding. This may be followed by a reading, poem or song. After this, there is an exchange of rings and vows. The couple are then pronounced married by the Officiant.
